Horrible
Let me say first that the sound quality for this show is quite good. That's where the star comes from. As for the rest, yuck! I'm open to the possibility that by dislike of this show is mostly a matter of taste -- after all I don't like Bela Bartok; to my ear he wrote cacophanies rather than symphonies -- but I don't think that's the case. There's some half decent jamming in a few places, but the rest was unpleasant to listen to. Vocalists who can't sing. Not damning in its own right; consider Dylan, who was much more entertaining before he learned how to sing. But sometimes these guys don't seem to be able to carry a tune, and attempts at harmony merely clash. Spencer Dryden once said in an interview that a good jam is one that simply works, while a bad jam is really, really bad. Suffice it to say that most of the jamming here just doesn't work. And in that sense the band is well named -- good chili can be great, but bad chili can be terrible, not to mention the gastric aftermath. The absence of the latter is the only saving grace here.
Notes
*Some drop outs occurred in the vocals due to a bad mic cable
